Today I met up with a friend to grab coffee.  Together we braved the 7 degree weather to then freeze a little inside the cafe, but it was worth it.

Relaxing friday afternoons, mochas, finishing assignments and attempting new ones.  It's been a pretty productive day.

A stressful two weeks of school it's been.  If I do get into this school that I'm applying to this'll be my last semester here in this state.  It's crazy to think about but I'm somewhat coming to terms with it.  I like it here, but I think I'm ready to move on experience something, at least for a little while.

I thought it'd be nice to share some shoe designs that I've worked on this week.  I didn't come up with the designs due to the fact that I'm still learning out how to draw a correct shoe shape, so these are just a warm-up.

Tomorrow is dedicated to finishing my application. Sketching and making everything look perfect, because I just can't help myself.

Snowed In.

After being home for about a month I decided to head on back to school with my friend who goes to school rather close to mine.  That was a couple of days ago.  Now, it's been a few days and all classes have been cancelled and the snow is drifting for miles.  We're stuck and the closer I get to starting school reminds me of all the things I need to accomplish before then (buy books, figure out my schedule, finish my essay/application, and inquire about my internship.)  The more I sit here and listen to The Milk Carton Kids and stare into the swirly white abyss outside my window makes everything seem silent and paused in space, and I'm alright with that for now.

Time to plunge into the cold to get some food.

2014, finally.

2013 brought much needed knowledge from mistakes, and although it was what I needed in the grand scheme of things, I'm ready for the new year.  With this new year comes opportunities, and challenges.  I'm excited to start a possible internship and to then hopefully move over 700 miles away to a different school in the fall.

I'm nervous, but excited to see what this year has to offer.

I'm ready to get down to business on my application, and focus more on art in general. I'll try to post some fashion illustrations I'm in the process of, but until then, have a great new years day!
