Just some pieces I entered for yet another ModCloth competition... the voting should start by Thursday on Facebook but I'm still not sure if anything made it in.

Some work I've done so far for my fashion illustration class... they're a little old, so I'll have to take and publish some more photos.

So, I stopped painting at 10:30. Ten freaking thirty! I finished! I was so excited. After coming home I bundled up in bed to get warm and tumbled, and pinned, tweeted, and facebooked, but then I got off by myself.  I'm so proud of myself, lame, right?

Again, my computer was passworded, but only for about a short amount of time. While listening to Mumford and Sons radio on pandora, I kicked butt at painting.

Therefore...

Mhm, it's true.

So, I guess we're gonna go watch a movie, because that's all we do! :)
Oh, and this was the final product. Basically did the whole cool painting today... and it only took me about 5 hours. heck yeah!

Wow, it's 6:30am! I just wanted to get on here really quick and type about things because well, I looked, and I haven't been on in three days! Shoot! So, this weekend has been really nice so far. Friday I had my fashion class, I freaked out because I woke up an hour into the class, and was even contemplating on not even going, but I sucked it up and got ready (I hate walking in to a class late, one of my pet peeves.) But thank the Lord my teacher wasn't upset. Her words, "Hi Athena! I knew something was wrong, it's not like you to be late." I'm glad either she was having a good day, or I'm on her good side. Either way, it was a plus. But, the whole class period was spent on sewing our scarves. I'm so excited to soon have mine finished. Once I get sewing, I don't want to stop, it's crazy. I hope to have it done so I can wear it this weekend coming up. The colors went with my board theme that I named, Aurora after the northern lights, so it's black, deep blue green, raspberry, with a pop of orange (but for my scarf I didn't use black.)

After class on Friday we just hung around the apartment drawing. I finally finished my drawing for drawing 2, it took me forever! gosh!

It's not the best quality, but I think you get what I did. It was interesting to blend with colored pencil again. And, yes, that gummy bear is kicking the other in the face. This time I tried to animate my objects, and make it more interesting than the usual "still life" style.

While we were working on painting, and drawing stuff, we almost finished the first season of Dexter which makes me super happy :)

Now it is time for me to go to bed. I'm nuts for staying up so dang late. I have to work on more homework tomorrow, and plus, my roommates family is coming up to visit, so I need to shower and such.

 Well really, it was the rest of the images that I had to get off the computer for. Sorry for the sort of bad quality. :( I didn't use the flash, I guess that was bad. blehhh.

I don't want to work on my fashion homework. I suck.

It's late, again.  I needed to shower, but I guess I'll do that in the mornin'.  So I'm tired, and I think I'm getting sick again, which really sucks, but I'm so ready to just hit the pillow and nod right off. Ummm, so yeah, since 9ish I've been working on this thing... we have critique tomorrow... it's supposed to be complete, but I think the teacher will be okay since I've been working really hard on it, plus Isaac isn't done either (gosh he's good.)

Woohoo! my camera battery is lost as of yet so I can't really take pictures other than ones on my computer sooo, yeah! :)

I woke up this morning actually caring what I looked like, so I curled my hair wore some cute clothes and felt daring enough to put some red lipstick on.  You can't see in this picture, but that's a big deal for me to do... it's amazing how a nice red tube of Chanel lipstick from your best friend, Grace, can promote and provide such self-confidence.  

On another note, class wasn't too bad today, we ad to research our topics, yadda yadda, but we also got to make mood boards that we're going to be presenting to the class next friday. I tried to capture my mood board in the background.  Comment and tell me what you think.  I'll probably upload an actual board copy once I get paint swatches and finish putting it down and all.

In other news, I'm drinking a nice cup a joe that my friend Alex prepared and just chilling, maybe we'll do some "hoochre," as Isaac says.

I recently bought a dress that has this same silhouette. I'm excited to wear to class.

Man, I love a guy in a bow tie.

In other words, I wish I had witnessed the fashion in this era first hand, I love the classicness that these close embody.

Still not asleep, I've been on the computer pretty much all day and haven't really accomplished anything other than this wonderful new blog, but good news...

it's raining outside and it looks beautiful.

The days following my first day of fashion class my friend from high school visited me at my apartment! I love surprise visits, and it's been a month since I saw her at home for Christmas break, so it was really nice.
